PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid for external use suppressing or reducing discoloration with time caused by simultaneously formulating ketotifen fumarate and a cation-responsive type polymer because it is found that the resultant composition is discolored with time and difficult to present as a medicine though a trial is carried out to provide a liquid composition for external use prepared by formulating the ketotifen fumarate and cation-responsive type polymer for affording the liquid for external use having excellent effects and high persistence.SOLUTION: The liquid for external use is obtained by formulating (a) the ketotifen fumarate, (b) the cation-responsive type polymer and (c) at least one kind selected from the group consisting of polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, D-mannitol, 1,3-butylene glycol and xylitol.
