PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which can correct positive-negative asymmetry in a pulse inversion (PI) method and obtain an ultrasonic image of high image quality.SOLUTION: In order to perform asymmetry correction in a transmission system circuit including an amplitude-adjusting amplifier 10 and an ultrasonic vibrator array 90, correction data obtained in a calibration mode is stored in a correction memory 46, and positive-negative asymmetry in the whole reception system circuit including a calculation section 45 is corrected in a diagnostic mode of an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, using the correction data.【課題】 パルスインバージョン（ＰＩ）法における正負非対称性を補正し、高画質の超音波画像を得ることができる超音波診断装置を提供することにある。【解決手段】 振幅調整用増幅器１０や超音波振動子アレイ９０を含む送信系回路の非対称性補正を行うため、キャリブレーションモードの際に得た補正データを補正メモリ４６に記憶しておき、当該補正データを用いて、装置の診断モードにおいて、演算部４５を含む受信系回路全体の正負非対称性を補正する。【選択図】 図１
