<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial composition for wet pulp, which exhibits a high yield as an internal type antimicrobial agent to be added to a pulp slurry in a wet pulp production process and protects wet pulp from microbial disorder by bacteria, fungi, etc., and to provide a sterilization method. <；P>；SOLUTION: The industrial antimicrobial composition is obtained by dispersing one or more kinds of antimicrobial agents having &le；1mg/mL solubility in water at 20°；C by using a water-soluble polymer compound such as a cationized polyvinyl alcohol, etc., and contains no surfactant or has &le；1 mass% of a surfactant (except a quaternary ammonium type cationic surfactant) concentration in the composition.
