To provide a chip saw for mowing, capable of sufficiently reducing foreign material scattering by suppressing foreign materials from approaching into a blade chamber even when a speed of rotation decreases, and capable of retaining excellent sharpness for a long period by enabling regrinding of chips.SOLUTION: A chip saw for mowing is configured such that: a blade part outer peripheral edge between chips adjacent in the front and the rear in the direction of rotation of a base metal is positioned at an outer peripheral side of the deepest position of a chip fixing part； a limiting blade having a tip set lower than the tip of the chip for a prescribed dimension is formed in the blade part outer peripheral edge； and a slit of a prescribed depth is formed in the rear in the direction of rotation of the limiting blade. The limiting blade and the slit are formed in a connected state, and are formed in an intermediate position of the blade part outer peripheral edge or close to the chip in the rear in the direction of rotation.
