An ultrasound observation device according to the present invention is an ultrasound observation device configured to generate an ultrasound image based on an ultrasound signal acquired by an ultrasound probe including an ultrasound transducer that transmits ultrasound to an observation target and receives ultrasound reflected from the observation target. The ultrasound observation device includes: a frequency analysis unit configured to analyze a frequency of a signal generated based on the ultrasound signal to calculate a plurality of frequency spectra； a comparison unit configured to compare a physical quantity based on the ultrasound reflected from the observation target with a threshold set according to the physical quantity； and a feature calculation unit configured to calculate a frequency feature based on the frequency spectrum calculated by the frequency analysis unit and a comparison result obtained by the comparison unit.
