PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chemical indicators which change colors when exposed to target sterilization conditions in a steam sterilization process and methods of producing the same.SOLUTION: A chemical indicator 220 includes a substrate 180 and a composition applied onto at least a portion of a major surface of the substrate 180.
