PURPOSE: A novel bacteriocin and lactic acid bacteria producing the same are provided to ensure excellent antibacterial effect against MRSA(methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) strain. Bacteriocin lacticin KC24 has high thermal stability at pH 3-9 and 50-100 Deg. C. A health functional food composition contains the bacteria(KCCM 11159P). A pharmaceutical composition contains bacteriocin lacticin KC24 as an active ingredient.본 발명은 김치 유래의 메치오닌 내성 MRSA 균주에 뛰어난 항균 효과가 있는 신규로 분리·동정한 유산균주를 개시하며, 상기 유산균주로부터 분리·정제한 분자량 3.5 kDa의 항균활성 박테리오신 lacticin KC24의 각종 효소, pH 및 열 안정성 등 이화학적 파라메타를 개시한다.
