PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and surely count the number of removed surgical staples.
SOLUTION: This surgical staple remover is provided with: a staple holder 17 which enters into both sides under the crown of a surgical staple stitching the skin and holds the surgical staple a pressing slider 3 which presses the upper central part of the surgical staple held by the staple holder to deform it, draws out the thus deformed surgical staple from the skin and then slides the surgical staple along a pair of parallel staple receivers 18 formed continuously from the staple holder 17 and a housing section which houses the surgical staples drawn by the pressing slider 3. This surgical staple is further provided with a counter 23 which counts and displays the surgical staples passing through a drawing passage in the middle of the drawing passage of the surgical staple provided in the housing part 6.
