Disclosed is a biosignal processing apparatus and a method thereof. An embodiment of the present invention sets a target range of a biosignal, calculates a quality metric corresponding to the target range based on a target component representing a frequency component of the target range corresponding to a setting value and a non-target component representing a frequency component of the target range which is not corresponding to the setting value, and estimates the quality of the biosignal based on the quality metric.생체 신호 처리 장치가 개시된다. 일 실시예는 생체 신호의 타겟 구간을 설정하고, 설정값에 대응하는 상기 타겟 구간의 주파수 성분을 나타내는 타겟 성분 및 상기 설정값에 대응하지 않는 상기 타겟 구간의 주파수 성분을 나타내는 비타겟 성분을 기초로 상기 타겟 구간에 대응하는 품질 메트릭(metric)을 연산하며, 상기 품질 메트릭을 기초로 상기 생체 신호의 품질을 추정한다.
