This stent delivery apparatus is provided with: a guide catheter; a pusher catheter in which the guide catheter is inserted; a stent into which the guide catheter is inserted, whereby the stent is disposed further toward the distal side than the tip of the pusher catheter; and a string-like connecting member having a loop shape, the connecting member releasably connecting the stent and the pusher catheter. The pusher catheter has a first communicating hole in a tip part thereof. The stent has a tip opening, a base-end opening, a stent lumen, and a second communicating hole. The stent is arranged so that the base-end opening thereof is positioned on the pusher catheter side.
