PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe constituted so as to prevent troubles, such as the leak of an ultrasonic propagation liquid to the outside, the mixing of air bubbles to the propagation liquid, the deformation of the contact surface of a housing with a specimen, caused by the volumetric change of the propagation liquid accompanied by a change in use environmental temperature and to prevent the penetration of humidity from the outside of a case by absorbing and relieving the volumetric change of the propagation liquid accompanied by the temperature change.SOLUTION: The internal space of a case 4 is divided into at least first and second internal spaces 101 and 102, and an aeration means 13 for aeration with the outside of the case 4 and a volume compensation mechanism 12 are provided in the first internal space 101.
