To provide a spinning reel for fishing capable of avoiding affection from ambient air or external load to a seal member, and capable of maintaining for a long term, preferable waterproof and dustproof properties to a reel body inside.SOLUTION: A spinning reel for fishing comprises: a main body 11 forming a reel body； and a cover member 15 for closing a rear opening part 17 formed on a rear part of the main body 11. A peripheral edge part of the rear opening part 17 has a fitting part 14 extending inward of the cover member 15 and fitted to inside of the cover member 15, the fitting part formed into a cylindrical wall state.
