PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant growth unit capable of discharging heat generated by a light source to outside, and surely performing blowing to leaves of a plant.SOLUTION: A plant growth unit 100 comprises: a light source 4 for emitting light directed to a terrestrial part 3a of a plant 3; and a partition part 5 for partitioning a space S1 on the light source side and a space S2 on the terrestrial part side, and making steam and light to transmit and restricting transmission of the terrestrial part 3a. The plant growth unit 100 further comprises: an ambient air introduction part 13 for introducing ambient air into the space S2 on the terrestrial part side; and a blowing mechanism 6 for generating an air current to the space S2 on the terrestrial part side.
