The present invention relates to a composition including black sticky rice with giant embryo (Nunkeunhukchal) and extracts of the same as an effective component for preventing or treating macular degeneration, and to a food composition with enhanced lutein. The extract in the pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating macular degeneration of the present invention is obtained by extracting black sticky rice with giant embryo with a solvent selected from a group composed of water, alcohol having one to six carbon, hexane, and a mixed solvent of the same.본 발명은 흑찰거대배아미(눈큰흑찰) 및 이의 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는, 황반변성의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물 및 루테인이 강화된 식품 조성물에 관한 것이다.
