Coating eyelashes comprises applying a foam composition with a specific gravity of 0.95 or less. The composition has a modulus of rigidity below 50 kPa or has a solids content of 60 wt.% or less or comprises a liquid fat phase thickened with a semisolid fat, a semicrystalline polymer or a lipophilic gelling agent or comprises an aqueous phase and a hydrophilic gelling agent. An independent claim is also included for an eyelash make-up or care kit comprising a receptacle containing a foam composition with a specific gravity of 0.95 or less and an applicator.
