A brush attachment for a lawnmower blade 201 having a cutting surface and a wing element, the brush attachment comprising: a brush head 100 having a plurality of bristles extending from a first side of the brush head; a first slot 103 in the brush head configured to operably accept the cutting surface of the lawnmower blade, the first slot being dimensioned to allow presentation of the cutting surface into the head in a direction substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the blade; and an engagement surface 104 configured to operably engage with the wing element 203.
