The present disclosure provides an aquafarming system and floatfor such an aquafarming system. The float is secured to a cage togrow a harvest. The float is further comprised of at least twolegs, the legs defining a flow channel to allow water to travel inbetween a top surface of the cage and the float. The float alsohas a hydrodynamic top portion that has sloped faces to allow forimproved displacement of the float over water when the float isupside down relative to the cage. The float is also comprised ofbow-shaped first and second ends to reduce the resistance. of thefloat when travelling across the water surface. Overall, theaquafarming system with the improved floats will improve waterflow and therefore food to the harvest, which will lead to largerharvests.
