PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type cultivator capable of reliably stopping motion of traveling wheels even in a slope or inclined field.SOLUTION: A walking type cultivator comprises: traveling wheels cultivating claws for cultivating a field an engine for rotating the traveling wheels and the cultivating claws a transmission case for transmitting a driving force from the engine to the traveling wheels and the cultivating claws a main clutch on/off device a drive shaft for a traveling system, the one end part of which protrudes outside from the transmission case and at the one end part of which a groove part is provided and a parking brake on/off device having a parking brake pin insertable into the groove part for performing switching whether to inhibit the rotation of the drive shaft or not. By switching the parking brake on/off device to the side for inhibiting the rotation of the drive shaft, the parking brake pin is inserted into the groove part to lock motion of the drive shaft.
