PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture bed and a method for culturing which have excellent workability and economical efficiency, and with which a culturing soil and a culturing place suitable for a culturing plant can be easily selected, culture environments such as temperature and length of day time suitable for the growth of the culturing plant can be easily obtained, and the number of planting stocks per unit area can be widely increased. SOLUTION: The culture bed is constructed by filling a culture soil into a cage whose peripheral side face is formed into a longitudinally long shape, with a net having such a net size so that culturing plants can be inserted and planted through the net, and the cage is formed of a hook for hanging the cage and a mulching sheet. The culture bed is hanged with an adequate hanging means. Incisions are formed with adequate spaces on the mulching sheet, and plants are planted serially through the incisions, followed by culturing.
