PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an absorbent article thin in size and simple in structure, and to reliably absorb water of excreta with an absorbent core.SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes a top sheet 21, an absorbent core 22, and a back sheet. By the absorbent core 22 including 40 wt.% or more of super absorbent resin powders 223, a sufficient amount of absorption is maintained while the absorbent core 22 is made thinner to provide a thin absorbent article. Also, by a top sheet lower part 212 abutted to the super absorbent resin powders 223 of the absorbent core 22 including a hydrophilic fiber 2122 which has water retention power, water is temporarily held by a top sheet lower part 212 before it reaches the absorbent core 22 and is quickly dispersed in a range opposed to the absorbent core 22 of the top sheet lower part 212.
