PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measurement accuracy of a three-dimensional movement of the eyes by taking influences of corneal refraction into account.
SOLUTION: The eyes of a measurement subject are photographed by an eye photographing means to acquire an eye image, the eye image is corrected by taking refraction in cornea into account, an iris pattern is acquired from the eye image, a reference iris pattern being an iris pattern becoming a reference is compared with a measured iris pattern being an iris pattern to be measured, and the relative rotation angle of the measured iris pattern with respect to the reference iris pattern is measured. Also, a pupil contour is detected from the corrected eye image, a pupil central position is detected from the pupil contour, and the visual angle of the eye is detected from the pupil central position. Correction of the eye image is repeatedly performed until a difference at the pupil central position detected from the eye images before and after the correction becomes smaller than a prescribed value.
