Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung Diallyldialkylammoniumsalze enthaltender Homo- oder Copolymere als Trübungsmittel in kosmetischen Mitteln. Die Erfindung betrifft weiterhin ein Verfahren zur Herstellung opaker kosmetischer Mittel, insbesondere wässriger kosmetischer Mittel, bei dem den Mitteln Diallyldialkylammoniumsalze enthaltende Homo- oder Copolymere zugegeben werden, wobei der Gewichtsanteil an Diallyldialkylammoniumsalze enthaltenden Homo- oder Copolymeren am Gesamtgewicht der Zusammensetzungen 0,01 bis 10 Gew.-%, bevorzugt 0,05 bis 5 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt 0,1 bis 3 Gew.-% und insbesondere bevorzugt 0,2 bis 2 Gew.-% beträgt.
