PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of reducing flowing down of a medicine, in which liquid permeability of a surface sheet is not inhibited by a medicine, and capable of reducing discomfort on an urination port corresponding area.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises a recess part 10 which becomes hollow toward a rear surface sheet 2 side on a skin contact surface of a liquid permeable surface sheet 3, the skin contact surface containing at least a part of an urination port corresponding area H of a wearer, and a medicine for enhancing a performance of an incontinence pad 1 is applied to an area other than the urination port corresponding area H and the recess part 10 of the liquid permeable surface sheet 3, and no medicine is applied to the urination port corresponding area H and the recess part 10.
