PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new APJ activation agent effective for activating an APJ receptor (angiotensin receptor like 1).SOLUTION: There is provided an APJ activation agent containing one or two or more components selected from a group consisting of plant bodies of Myrica rubra, Syzygium jambos and Quercus serrata, and their extracts. The APJ activation agent is preferably orally administered. The APJ activation agent is usable as pharmaceuticals effective for prevention or remedy of various diseases and symptoms involving in APJ activity or cosmetics effective for improving cosmetological state. Examples of the diseases to which the agent is effective include dermatitis such as skin inflammation caused by ultraviolet ray irradiation, atopic dermatitis, ruddy face, rosacea and psoriasis, lymphedema, diseases accompanying subcutaneous fat accumulation such as obesity, cellulite, sagging (skin aging and loss of skin elasticity) and diseases and syndromes accompanying to subcutaneous fat accumulation.
