PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal repellent device for an electric wire capable of effectively repelling animals, namely, a configuration allowing easy installation and replacement irrespective of the shape of the electric wire to which the animal repellent device is attached, and installation environment.SOLUTION: An animal repellent device for an electric wire 1 preventing animals from riding on the electric wire includes a bar-like horizontal structural base 2 installed substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction of the electric wire needle-like protruded parts 21 which are protruded radially in at least three directions or more from the horizontal structural base, and are arranged in series at substantially equal intervals in the longitudinal direction and a first connection part 3 disposed at one end of the horizontal structural base and a second connection part 4 disposed at the other end thereof. A row of the needle-like protruded parts in two direction hold the electric wire therebetween, thereby stably holding the horizontal structural base. The first connection part includes a through hole 31 configured to pass therethrough the needle-like protruded part protruded from the second connection part of another identical device, and an engagement projected part 32 projected in the opposite direction of the pass-through direction.
