The present invention relates to an ultrasonic diagnostic system having a lower power mode and a performing method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the ultrasonic diagnostic system having a lower power mode includes: an ultrasonic probe which receives an echo signal to be reflected from a test subject； a beam former which collects an echo signal and generates frame data； a scan converting unit which forms an ultrasonic image； a memory which stores image data for an image； an ultrasonic image comparison analyzer which compares and analyzes image data stored in the memory and the ultrasonic image of the display unit； and a lower power mode control unit which enters the entire circuit in a lower power mode. Accordingly, the present invention has an effect of providing ultrasonic diagnostic system adaptable for mobile terminal having various resolutions and a method thereof.본 발명은 저전력모드를 갖는 휴대용 초음파 진단장치 및 그 수행방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 저전력모드를 갖는 휴대용 초음파 진단장치는, 초음파신호를 피검체로 송신한 다음 상기 피검체로부터 반사되어 온 에코신호를 수신하는 초음파프로브와； 상기 초음파프로브부터 반사되어 온 에코신호를 수집하여 프레임 데이터를 생성하는 빔 포머와； 상기 빔 포머에서 생성된 프레임 데이터에 스캔변환을 수행하여 초음파영상을 형성하는 스캔변환부와； 상기 스캔변환된 초음파 영상이 표시되는 디스플레이 화면을 구비하는 디스플레이부와； 상기 디스플레이부의 초음파 영상 중 초음파 진단을 수행하지 않는 경우의 영상에 대한 이미지데이터를 저장하는 메모리와； 상기 디스플레이부의 초음파 영상과 상기 메모리에 저장된 이미지데이터를 비교분석하는 초음파영상 비교분석기； 및 상기 초음파영상의 비교분석기에 의해 상기 디스플레이부에 표시되는 초음파 영상이 초음파 진단을 수행하지 않는 경우의 초음파 영상으로 판단되면 전체회로를 저전력모드로 진입하게 하는 저전력모드 제어부；를 구비한다.따라서, 본 발명은, 초음파 진단장치의 빔포머에서 형성되는 프레임데이터를 무선통신단말기의 해상도에 대응되는 스캔데이터로 형성한 다음 무선통신단말기에 전송할 수 있기 때문에 송수신대역폭을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있으며, 초음파 진단장치로부터 전송된 스캔데이터를 무선통신 단말기에서 독립적으로 적합한 해상도로 스캔변환할 수 있기 때문에 다양한 해상도를 갖는 무선통신단말기에 적용이 가능한 초음파 진단시스템 및 진단방법을 제공하는 효과가 있다.
