A system and method for identifying a catheter inserted in a patient's body isprovided. The system may comprise a catheter comprising a handle, a consolecomprising an input device, a display screen configured to depict an image ofthecatheter inside the patient's body, and a processor configured to receive acolorparameter from the input device. The system may be configured to receive adesiredcolor parameter input from the input device for the catheter, depict thedesired coloron the image of the catheter on the display screen, and display the desiredcolor onthe corresponding catheter within the patient's body. This configurationallows for amore efficient catheter identification process during medical procedures, andprevents catheter identification confusion and thus harm to catheters or thepatientfor unnecessary movement of other catheters.
