A pill bottle is provided. The pill bottle includes a bottle, a warning unit arranged on the bottle, a processor, and a scale. The scale can measure the total weight of the pills in the bottle. When a user takes out some pills, the processor can determine the decrease of the total weight of the pills. The processor can determine the amount of the pills taken out by the user according to the decrease of the total weight and a pre-stored weight of a single pill.
