The invention relates to a haptic combination for accommodating an intraocular lens comprising at least one optical element (5) adapted to provide at least two optical functions including provision of a fixed optical power and provision of variable optical power, wherein the haptic combination comprises at least a first haptic (12) adapted to provide anchoring and positioning of at least one of the optical elements and at least a second haptic (7) adapted to provide transfer of movement from at least one driving means (8) in the eye to at least one of the optical elements, wherein movement of the second haptic is independent from movement of the first haptic. The invention also relates to an intraocular accommodating lens comprising the least one haptic combination of the kind referred to above.
