A spring mechanism for an electromagnetic drive unit converts or translates the movement and/or actuation of an electromagnet into a desired movement of a workpiece and enables the simple and efficient tuning of the workpiece movement. The spring mechanism comprises: a housing a spring which is connected to the housing and of which at least two sections are movable to the housing a drive shaft which has a first end having a magnet and a second end for attachment to the workpiece and at least two tuning elements which connect the drive shaft to the movable part of the spring, wherein the tuning elements are adjustable.
