A pesticidal composition comprising a quantitatively variable and synergistic combination of the pesticidally active compound lufenuron in the free form or in the form of an agrochemically acceptable salt thereof, with either a) diafenthiuron, or b) furathiocarb, or c) fenoxycarb, or d) pirimicarb, or e) triazamate, or f) imidadoprid, or g) azamethiphos, or h) monocrotophos, or i) methidathion, or k) cyromazin, or m) cyhalothrin, or n) cypermethrin, or o) aldicarb, or p) deltamethrin, or q) endosulfan, or r) chlorpyrifos, or s) methomyl, or t) terbufos or u) carbofuran, or v) a substance obtainable from the Bacillus thuringiensis strain GC 91, or w) chlorfluazuron, or x) beta-cyfluthrin, or y) methiocarb fenoxycarb, and at least one adjuvant; to a method of controlling pests with said composition; to a process for the preparation of the composition; to the use thereof and to plant propagation material treated therewith and to the use of a compound of lufenuron for the preparation of said novel composition are described.
