PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a deodorant for deodorizing an offensive smell related to nursing care, that is, a malodor (caring malodor) generated from deteriorated sebum or deteriorated urine accompanied by an aged person, a sick person or a disabled person, having a smell not feeling uneasy even if the deodorant is used in large quantities by mistake or used frequently, having general-purpose properties with respect to a mixed smell comprising many components and usable even in a wide space to show an immediate effect by a simple method such as sprinkling or the like. SOLUTION: The deodorant for the nursing care malodor contains a compound of which the sensual intensity of each of smells, which are respectively shown by integers of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 when the intensities of the smell of diluted liquids with concentrations of 1, 2.5, 6.3, 16, 40 and 100 wt.% prepared by diluting citral with diethyl phthalate are set to standards, is not less than 1 and the solubility parameter value is 16-26.
