PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter sufficiently transmitting a push-in force applied from a proximal side of the balloon catheter to a distal side of the balloon catheter, and preventing that a kink or the like occurs when pulling a balloon outside a body.SOLUTION: This balloon catheter 10 includes: an intermediate outer shaft part 35 connecting a front end outer shaft part 31 and a rear end outer shaft part 37, and having a yield point lower than the front end outer shaft part 31 and the rear end outer shaft part 37； an engagement part 33 provided in the front end outer shaft part 31； and a press member 70 having a rear end side joined to the rear end shaft 37 and inserted through the intermediate outer shaft part 35, and having an abutment face 70a capable of abutting on the engagement part 33 at the front end.
