PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter having a protector that allows a balloon to be inflated while covering the balloon, and works so that the balloon contracted after being inflated can be restored to an original shape easily.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter 1 having a balloon 11 at the tip of a long shaft 10 includes a protector 41 that can be moved along an axial direction of the shaft 10.
