The present invention is directed to a device for evaporative delivery of volatile materials. The device comprises: (a) a reservoir portion containing a liquid volatile material having an open cavity and a peripheral portion； and (b) a microporous membrane having first and second surfaces positioned above the reservoir. The membrane is fixed relative to the peripheral portion of the reservoir, the second surface of the membrane is in contact with the liquid volatile material, and the microporous membrane is the first surface of the microporous membrane. A microporous membrane further comprising a barrier coating layer, and (c) a removable cap layer having a first surface and a second surface, wherein the adhesive layer is microporous vapor permeable.
