Cosmetic composition (I) present in the form of an emulsion comprising a oily phase dispersed in an aqueous phase, where the oily phase comprises at least one wax; and (I) has a dry matter content of 45-55 wt.% and a shear hardness of 375-5000 g/m, where the shear hardness is measured at 20[deg] C on a cylindrical stick using a tungsten rigid wire of diameter 250 mu m by moving the wire relatively to stick at a speed of 100 mm/minute, is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) coating keratin fibers comprising: contacting keratin fibers with the surface of a stick comprising (I); and then making a relative movement between the surface of the stick and the keratin fibers, to cause the disintegration of the stick and the formation of a deposit of at least one layer of the (I) on the keratin fibers; (2) device for packaging and application of a cosmetic for care and/or makeup of keratin fiber, comprising: a stick comprising (I); and a support of the stick, and optionally at least one application element, where the application element can be further equipped by part for separating and/or combing the keratin fibers; and (3) a stick for makeup and/or care of keratin fibers, preferably dry form, obtained by the process comprising: heating the composition containing the oily phase and the aqueous phase at a temperature of 80-100[deg] C, preferably 95[deg] C; emulsifying the phases using a stirrer to obtain an emulsion type composition at aqueous continuous phase; pouring the hot composition in a packaging device; then cooling the composition to a temperature of -30[deg] C to 10[deg] C, preferably less than -28[deg] C until the composition is in the form of a stick, particularly for duration of 15-60 minutes, preferably 45 minutes.
