PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assemblability of a portable bush cutter equipped with a vibration absorbing mechanism.SOLUTION: A cutter attached to the tip end of an operation arm of the bush cutter is rotated by an engine attached to the rear end part of the arm. A driving-side joint 31 and a follower-side joint 41 are assembled between an engine-side drum shaft and a cutter-side transmission shaft, and a compression coil spring 50a is attached, in a manner directed to radial side, between a recess 36 formed on a circular arch part 35 of the driving-side joint 31 and a recess formed, facing the recess 36, on a circular arch part 45 of the follower-side joint 41. Vibration of the transmission shaft is absorbed by flexural deformation of the compression coil spring 50a.
