PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a grip part and a part near the grip part from being broken in removing an absorbent article from under the body of a wearer.SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes: a back sheet which is water-repellent or liquid impermeable an absorption core 22 placed on the back sheet a liquid permeable top sheet covering an upper surface of the absorption core 22 and a belt-shaped reinforcement member 24 attached to the back sheet between a lower surface of the absorption core 22 and the back sheet. When absorbent articles 1 are replaced, a corner part 111 is gripped and the absorbent article 1 is pulled out from under the body of the wearer. The absorbent article 1 includes the reinforcement member 24 which expands from the corner part 111 to be the grip part to a position overlapping the lower surface of the absorption core 22, so that ultimate tensile strength of the grip part and the part near the grip part is improved and, when the absorbent article 1 is removed from under the body of the wearer, breakage of the grip part and the part near the grip part is prevented.
