PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control force to be applied to a piston.SOLUTION: There is provided a non-contact type tonometer for measuring in a non-contact manner an intraocular pressure of a subject eye, the tonometer comprising: driving means for generating drive force by supplying a driving current fluid injection means for moving a piston in a first direction within a cylinder by driving the driving means, nd causing the piston to perform compression operation for injecting a fluid to a cornea of the subject eye and control means for controlling supply of the driving current to the driving means.
