The present invention relates to a method of evaluating and training balance ability using the righting reflex. According to the present invention, an apparatus comprises: a first inertia sensor mounted on the head of a trainee； a second inertia sensor mounted on the body of the trainee； and a control unit to determine the righting reflex of the trainee based on a moving direction of the trainees head measured by the first inertia sensor and a moving direction of the trainees body. According to the present invention, the righting reflex principle is used to accurately evaluate balance ability of a person and efficiently perform balance ability training.본 발명은 정위 반응을 활용한 균형 능력 평가 및 훈련 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 장치는 훈련 대상자 머리에 장착되는 제1 관성 센서, 훈련 대상자 몸통에 장착되는 제2 관성 센서, 그리고 제1 관성 센서에 의해 측정되는 훈련 대상자 머리의 움직임 방향과 훈련 대상자 몸통의 움직임 방향을 기초로 훈련 대상자의 정위 반응 여부를 판단하는 제어부를 포함한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 사람의 정위 반응 원리를 활용하여 보다 정확하게 사람의 균형 능력을 평가하고, 보다 효율적으로 균형 능력 훈련을 할 수 있는 장점이 있다.
