The present invention relates to strains of Photorhabdus temperata J5 which have excellent insecticidal activity and simultaneous antimicrobial activity. The strains of the present invention show excellent insecticidal activity against insect pests and antimicrobial activity against pathogens, which lead to preparation of microbial formulations with the strains or culture media thereof as active ingredients.본 발명은 우수한 살충 활성과 항균 활성을 동시에 갖는 신규한 포토랍두스 템페라타 J5(Photorhabdustemperata J5) 균주, 이를 포함하는 해충 방제용 조성물 및 상기 균주를 이용하여 해충을 생물학적으로 방제하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 균주는 해충에 대한 살충력과 유해균에 대한 항균력이 우수하므로, 상기 균주 또는 이의 배양액을 유효성분으로 한 미생물 제제를 제조할 수 있으며, 이를 이용하여 다양한 작물에서 해충에 의한 피해를 효과적으로 방제 및 예방할 수 있다.
