PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wearing article having uniform fitting property around circumferences of the legs and suppressing or preventing marks of gathers on local parts of the skin of a wearer, slipping down of a diaper and leakage of excrement wherein such properties are achieved by making parts of the wearing article around the circumferences of the legs conform to the figure of the wearer while focusing attention on the figure of the wearer of a diaper or the like, namely to a difference in roundness of the skin surface of the leg circumferences between the abdominal side and the back side, and also to provide a method for producing the same.
SOLUTION: Elastic extendable band materials are arranged on an article body so that their longitudinal direction strides across a crotch center line dividing the article body in two parts in the longitudinal direction. An effective extendable width of a band material abdominal part located on the abdominal side with respect to the crotch center line is smaller than that of a band material back part located on the back side. The elastic extendable band material is incorporated in the article body under an unfolded condition by pulling the longitudinal direction of the band material in the longitudinal direction of the wearing article in such a way that an extension amount of the band material abdominal part is larger than that of the band material back part.
