PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire an excellent massage effect that cannot be achieved by hand rubbing by establishing massage procedures using a treatment bar.SOLUTION: A method of massaging by pressing a peripheral side surface of a cylindrical treatment bar 1 against a body includes as basic procedures: a long slow procedure for slidably moving the treatment bar 1 at a slow speed a short slow procedure for slidably moving the treatment bar 1 at a speed faster than in the long slow procedure a short roll procedure for rotatably moving the treatment bar 1 at a fast speed and a compression procedure for compressing the body by the treatment bar 1.
