The present invention relates to compositions comprising an alpha- adrenoceptor ligand for use in the treatment of benign anorectal conditions, in particular haemorrhoids. In addition to an alpha-adrenoceptor ligand, the compositions of the inventions may additionally include a calcium channel activator.
