PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic which is excellent in spreadability, smoothness and a flexible touch, when coated on hair, is not sticky to the hair, and can impart a smooth touch, flexibility and proper gathering touch (sufficient setting property) to the hair, after coated.

SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic comprises the following components (A) to (D), wherein the components (A)/(B) content weight ratio in the composition is 0.5/99.5 to 50/50, and the total amount of the components (A)+(B) is &ge70 wt.% in the composition. (A) A polymer silicone represented by the general formula (1) [R1is methyl or partially phenyl R2is methyl or OH (n) is the number of 1,000 to 2,900]. (B) A volatile hydrocarbon oil. (C) A cholesterol derivative. (D) A low viscosity silicone oil having viscosity of &le50 mm2/s (25°C).
