PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating diseases, disorders, injuries, or conditions including modulating neurite outgrowth and/or survival, including CNS disorders, stroke, or spinal injury, by administration of a TAJ antagonist.SOLUTION: There is provided the method for increasing neurite outgrowth. The method includes bringing a neuron into contact with an effective amount of an agent that reduces TAJ signaling in the neuron.
