A self-contained Autonomous Positive Air Pressure (APAP) device that treats sleep apnea by providing pressurized air intermittently or on demand. The self-contained device is inconspicuously designed as eyewear and does not require the user to be tethered to an air hose or power cord. The device also does not require the user to wear a face mask sealed to the users face. Instead, the present invention comprises a system that is battery powered including pumps to pressurize a chamber or chambers that provides breathable air through electronically controlled pressure regulated valves that prevents upper airway obstruction.
