PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for breeding a decapod larva capable of stably obtaining a large amount of decapod larva in a high-density breeding environment. SOLUTION: In the method of breeding a decapod larva, the decapod larva is bred while pouring a water quality improving agent into the breeding aquarium a plurality of times at predetermined time intervals. The water quality improver is an adsorbent or a pH adjuster, and is a fossil shell powder. 10 to 100 g of shellfish fossil powder per ton of seawater in the breeding aquarium is added to the breeding aquarium every day. The amount of water quality improving agent input on the first day of breeding is increased as compared with the second and subsequent days after the start of breeding in the breeding aquarium.
