According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for removing a signal caused by a cochlear implant includes: a brainwave signal acquisition part acquiring a brainwave signal； an independent component extraction part extracting a plurality of independent components from the acquired brainwave signal； a characteristic acquisition part acquiring characteristics by analyzing each of the extracted independent components； a clustering part clustering the independent components into at least two groups based on the acquired characteristics, while making at least one independent component included in one group； an identification part identifying the position or waveform of a source of a signal indicated by each of the groups； and a removal part determining one of the groups, which is related with a cochlear implant, based on the position or waveform of the source of the signal, and removing the independent components included in the determined group from the brainwave.본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 인공와우에 의한 신호 제거 장치는, 뇌파 신호를 획득하는 뇌파 신호 획득부와, 상기 획득된 뇌파 신호의 복수의 독립성분을 추출하는 독립성분 추출부와, 상기 추출된 복수의 독립성분 각각에 대해 분석하여 특징을 획득하는 특징 획득부와, 상기 획득된 특징에 기초하여, 상기 복수의 독립성분을 적어도 두 개의 그룹으로 클러스터링하되, 적어도 하나의 독립성분이 하나의 그룹에 포함되도록 하는 클러스터링부와, 상기 적어도 두 개의 그룹 각각이 나타내는 신호의 신호원의 위치 또는 파형의 형태를 식별하는 식별부와, 상기 신호원의 위치 또는 상기 파형의 형태에 기초하여, 상기 적어도 두 개의 그룹 중 인공와우와 관련된 그룹을 결정하고, 상기 결정된 그룹에 포함되는 독립성분을 상기 뇌파 신호에서 제거하는 제거부를 포함할 수 있다.
