PURPOSE: A method for treating pancreatitis using mesenchymal stem cells is provided to treat and alleviate pancreatitis by administering stem cells or precursor cells to a patient with pancreatitis. CONSTITUTION: A method for treating pancreatitis, reducing pancreatic edema or relative weight of pancreas, increasing acinar cell population, or preventing necrosis of acinar cells in a patient with pancreatitis comprises the steps of: collecting a bone marrow, peripheral blood, cord blood, or adipose sample or a biological sample from cytokine-activated peripheral blood； precipitating the sample in a container； carrying a supernatant into other container through two or more rounds； isolating cells from the supernatants； and administering the isolated cells to a patient with pancreatitis. The sample is collected by centrifugation under 1,000 rpm.
